Information and Infrastructure Technologies, Inc. (IIT) has been selected as one of the Prime and Small Business Contractors for the Army’s Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) Contract. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), will manage the RS3 contract that has a $37.4B ceiling with a 10-year ordering period. RS3 will provide support services for a diverse group of organizations that span the spectrum of mission areas for programs with C4ISR related requirements. Areas of support include: Engineering, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), logistics services, acquisition and strategic planning services and education and training services.

IIT Receives the AFEI Excellence in Enterprise Information Award (Industry Category)
On September 10, 2015, the Surface Transportation, Public Transportation, and Over the Road Bus Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ST, PT, & OTRB ISACs) team members received the AFEI 2014 Excellence in Enterprise Information Award (Industry Category) from Mr. Dave Chesebrough, AFEI President. The presentation was made at the IIT Corporate Headquarters in Herndon, VA. Our industry partners, Mr. Dave Hahn, American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and Mr. Tom Farmer, Association of American Railroads (AAR) were present for the Award Ceremony.
The Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI) Award program recognizes the contributions made by government and business organizations towards achieving greater efficiency and effectiveness in the application of technology to improve business and operational performance.
The Excellence in Enterprise Information awards are made to programs exhibiting best practices in information management along with the application of information technology to create information environments that make a difference in organizational performance and mission execution.
The purpose of the Excellence in Enterprise Information Awards program is to recognize and reward achievements on the part of Government and Industry teams in connecting, networking, sharing and securing information both within and among organizations.

IIT Awarded Security Assessment Services Contract from Chicago Metra
IIT has been awarded a Security Assessment Services Contract from the Northeast Illinois Commuter Railroad Corporation, Chicago Metra, to conduct extensive risk analysis of the entire passenger heavy rail system, develop a comprehensive “Security Plan of Action,” and develop employee training and awareness, and public outreach programs.

SANS Institute, National Cyber Security Innovation Award
The National Cybersecurity Innovation Awards recognize developments undertaken by companies and government agencies who have developed and deployed innovative processes or technologies which are innovative in that it has not been deployed effectively before, can show a significant impact on reducing cyber risk, can be scaled quickly to serve large numbers of people, and should be adopted quickly by many other organizations. Nominations included most senior government officials involved with Cybersecurity as well as those from major Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs). Corporations and individuals, including SANS instructors also nominated innovations and each nomination was tested by the SANS Institute research department.
The SANS Institute announced today that the U.S. Department of State Office of the Chief Information Officer has won the 2011 U.S. National Cybersecurity Innovation Award for significantly improving the effectiveness of the nation’s cyber security for creating, deploying and sharing the Department of State’s unique risk scoring program, which continuously monitors more than 100,000 systems for vulnerabilities and provides daily prioritized security action plans for every Department of State system administrator in the U.S. and in more than 200 countries.
NSA Rowlett Award for the Risk Scoring Program
The National Security Agency established the Information Systems Security National Awards in 1989 to recognize outstanding organizational and individual excellence in the field of information systems security. Today these annual awards, named in honor of cryptologic pioneer Frank B. Rowlett, recognize significant contributions to the information assurance discipline.
The Frank B. Rowlett Awards recognize individual and organization one-time or long-term achievement in the improvement of national information systems security, information assurance readiness, or defensive information operations.
The Frank B. Rowlett Trophy for Organizational Achievement is awarded annually to the U.S. Government organization recognized as making the most significant contribution to the improvement of national information systems security, operational information assurance readiness, or the defensive information operations posture of the United States.
